Bold & Brave is an innovative social enterprise by Young Somerset, providing young people with real-world opportunities to gain skills, confidence, and experience in retail, hospitality, and entrepreneurship. With a shop and café in Taunton, Bold & Brave creates a space where young people can showcase their talents, develop their potential, and engage with the community.

Bold & Brave Gift Shop & Café

  • Gift Shop: 14 Riverside Place, Taunton
    Mon-Fri, 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Café: Taunton Library, Paul St.
    Tues-Sat, 9:30am-3:00pm

The shop sells products created by young entrepreneurs and local businesses, while the café provides barista training and work experience for young people pursuing careers in hospitality.

Work Experience & Volunteering

  • Open to young people aged 14-25, particularly those not in education, employment, or training (NEET).
