Young Somerset offers a unique and tailored approach to supporting children and young people in re-engaging with education. Our Alternative Education Provision (AEP) is designed for students who face challenges in education. This includes those on part-time timetables, at risk of exclusion, or requiring additional learning opportunities this could be alongside their school curriculum to maximize their time in education.
Our experienced Alternative Education Team, provide holistic support, focusing on the individual needs, interests, and aspirations of each young person. Through a youth work approach, we foster meaningful relationships, skills development, one-to-one or small group learning environments that encourage personal growth and development.
We aim to help young people thrive in multiple areas of their lives:
